HI! I'm Jamila Muhammad, Pastry Chef/Owner of Mila's Front Porch. I have always loved baking and came from a family where baked goods were the highlight of any family gathering.
Eventually, as a teenager, I would sell cake slices and as an adult, I decided to take the leap and go back to school at Valencia College here in Orlando and graduated in 2014. I started my career at Disney as a Pastry Cook I and learned lots of valuable information about baking for allergies. in 2013 I started Three Girls Bakery/Mila's, Front Porch. I have three daughters who have different dietary needs and found many times I had to say no to their favorites. I have to bake up a plan. My oldest is vegetarian, my middle like I cannot tolerate dairy and my youngest is a picky omnivore.
After working at Disney I went on to work at UCF, a local gluten-free manufacturer, been an assistant manager and manager in bakeries at natural food stores. After seeing part-time couldn't satisfy my passion anymore I decided to work full time creating Mila's Front Porch in January 2020.
